adidas SL 72 OG

The lightweight design and sleek retro profile are the main attributes of the women's sneakers SL 72 OG by adidas Originals. This model is inspired by a running shoe from the early seventies, with the abbreviation SL standing for Super Light. Today, it has evolved into an urban classic featuring a low, elongated shape that visually elongates the leg. The black finish exudes a clean and understated elegance, seamlessly adapting to any outfit, whether styled casually or more elegantly.

The textile upper is lightweight and comfortable on the foot, allowing you to wear these sneakers from morning to evening without any heaviness. The rubber outsole ensures reliable grip on pavement and in the office, while the low cut leaves the ankle free. Pair them with straight jeans and an oversized blazer, a midi skirt and a delicate sweater, or wide trousers and a short jacket. The narrow retro silhouette aligns perfectly with the current trend of sleek sneakers, which are replacing bulkier models. adidas Originals is the lifestyle line of the German brand adidas, bringing archival sports models into contemporary fashion while maintaining their original lines.

adidas SL 72

Lightweight retro legend from the 70s - adidas SL 72

The adidas SL 72 is the follow-up to the original model introduced in 1972 on the occasion of the Olympic Games. Today they are one of the most popular retro running sneakers, combining iconic vintage style with modern comfort. The nylon upper complemented by suede overlays provides lightness, breathability and stability, while the moulded EVA midsole provides soft cushioning suitable for all-day wear. The serrated rubber outsole guarantees good traction and the authentic look of classic running models. The SL 72 is ideal for fans of retro design, urban lifestyle, students and anyone who wants a lightweight and stylish sneaker that works great in everyday use. With their slim shape and bold colours, they perfectly accentuate the sporty-leisure style.
Styling tips: fits perfectly with straight-cut jeans, chinos, sweatpants and shorts. Perfectly complement a bomber, retro sweatshirt or basic T-shirt for a clean vintage look.

Materials

UpperTextileTextileTextile uppers are a lightweight and highly breathable upper construction solution that uses woven or knitted structures of natural and synthetic fibres. This type of upper is valued in the footwear industry for its extraordinary ability to adapt to the shape of the foot, minimising the formation of blisters and ensuring high user comfort. Thanks to the porous structure of the material, textile uppers allow for efficient heat and moisture dissipation, which is crucial for maintaining an optimal microclimate even under increased physical stress. In addition, modern textile processing technologies allow reinforcement zones to be integrated directly into the knit, achieving an ideal balance between stability and flexibility.
SoleRubberRubberIt is one of the most widely used materials for the production of soles due to its high mechanical resistance and durability. The main advantage of rubber soles is their excellent grip (traction) on different types of surfaces, which minimises the risk of slipping. The material is naturally flexible, waterproof and effectively absorbs shocks during walking. Depending on the compound, the rubber can be either soft for better contact with the ground or hard for maximum abrasion resistance on rough terrain.
