New Balance 740
The layered design inspired by running shoes from the turn of the millennium makes the 740 model by New Balance a unisex sneaker that exudes a sporty vibe while naturally fitting into your everyday outfit. The multicolored execution combines several shades into a cohesive whole, allowing the shoe to stand out with detail without being overly loud. If you appreciate retro style with a technical touch, this model can be worn from morning to evening, no matter where your day takes you.
The upper combines synthetic materials with textile. Sturdier synthetic panels maintain the shoe's shape, while the textile parts provide lightness and breathability. The midsole features the cushioning technology ABZORB, which absorbs impacts with every step, making city walks pleasantly soft. The rubber outsole ensures reliable grip on various surfaces. The low cut leaves the ankle free, and the standard width of the insole D fits most feet. The 740 sneakers pair excellently with looser pant silhouettes, whether you opt for straight jeans, cargo pants, or comfortable joggers. They also combine well with shorts and an oversized t-shirt. New Balance is an American brand established in 1906 in Boston, known for its emphasis on comfort and retro running silhouettes.

Running style in a modern urban design - New Balance 740
Re-introduced in 2024, the New Balance 740 takes the running icons of the early 2000s and reimagines them as a contemporary urban sneaker. The midsole with ABZORB™ technology reliably absorbs shock and adds comfort even during all-day wear. The breathable knit upper with synthetic reinforcements ensures lightness, stability and a modern technical look. The segmented rubber sole with a distinctive pattern provides a sure step on different surfaces and underlines the dynamism of the entire model.
The NB 740 sneakers are the ideal choice for those who want to combine the comfort of a sports shoe with distinctive Y2K and tech-runner style. They are suitable for everyday wear in the city, for work, school and weekend activities where you want to look trendy and feel comfortable at the same time.
Outfit tip: Goes great with joggers, loose cargo pants and an oversized sweatshirt for a distinctive technical streetwear look. For a cleaner urban look, team them with skinny jeans, a simple T-shirt and a lightweight bomber jacket - the 740 adds a dynamic fashion accent to the whole outfit.

The Icon of Streetwear and Comfort Defining Urban Style - New Balance
If you seek the perfect balance between maximum comfort and uncompromising style, the brand New Balance is an absolute match for you. What began as a modest idea in Boston has transformed over the decades into one of the most sought-after lifestyle and streetwear brands in the world. At Queens, we offer you the freshest selection of sneakers and apparel that are currently shaping the fashion landscape.
Whether you are hunting for timeless classics, highly coveted retro running silhouettes, or the latest limited collaborations, New Balance in our portfolio represents the pinnacle of urban culture.
From Orthopedic Inserts to the Absolute King of the Sneaker Community
The brand's history began in 1906 under the name New Balance Arch Support Company. Founder William J. Riley was inspired by the perfect balance of chicken feet and designed a revolutionary flexible arch and orthopedic inserts. This deep emphasis on anatomical ergonomics and technical innovations (such as mixed gel inserts) remains in the brand's DNA to this day. New Balance also became a pioneer by being one of the few manufacturers to offer and still offers various widths of footwear for a perfectly fitting cut.
Over the years, however, what started as purely functional sports footwear has become a street phenomenon. The brand achieved the impossible: it connected the world of elite athletes, subcultural communities, hip-hop enthusiasts, and fashion purists. Today, New Balance is no longer just "dad's garden shoes" (although the brand itself has masterfully defined the aesthetic of dad shoes). It is a status symbol of modern streetwear.
Premium Quality: A Legend Named "Made in"
What elevates New Balance to an entirely different level compared to its competitors is their uncompromising commitment to premium craftsmanship. The New Balance Made in USA and Made in UK lines are synonymous with luxury in the sneaker world. While most global production has moved to Asia, these specific collections are still manufactured in factories in New England (USA) and Flimby (UK).
When purchasing models from these lines, you acquire a product with a high degree of handcrafting, made from the finest leather, premium suede, and breathable mesh. For collectors and sneaker enthusiasts at Queens, models from the Made in division are the absolute holy grail, maturing like fine wine with age and wear.
